Hold stencil in place using stencil adhesive spray or stencil tape, or use adhesive stencils. Dab paint on as before, applying a thin layer of paint at a time. Remove stencil while paint is still wet. If paint has dried, release stencil with a craft knife before removing. |

Clean FolkArt Laser-Cut Painting Stencils with cool water while the paint is still wet. To remove dried paint from the stencil, use a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol. Rub gently to avoid tearing the stencil. |

When you wish to use only one part of a design, tape over the cutout areas near it with stencil tape. Sometimes this is done to stencil part of the design with one color and other parts with another color. If you then want to include the areas you masked out, remove the tape, tape over the areas you previously stenciled with the first color, and stencil the next areas with the second color. |
